On the occasion of the event that his teacher, Professor of the University of Music and Performance Graz, Austria, Gianni Kriscak visited Vietnam to launch a research book on the History of Italian Opera (I) edited by him and co-authored by him, including Nguyen Thi Hien and Trinh Thi Oanh - Hien Nguyen Soprano held the concert La Passione at 8:00 p.m. on March 1 at the Concert Hall of the Vietnam National Academy of Music (77 Hao Nam, Dong Da, Hanoi).

Hien Nguyen Soprano shared: "What I want to do with music is to tell everything from the music story to the image in a new way, spreading the love of academic music to everyone. Returning from Italy, I realized that classical music is still "picky" about domestic audiences. From the musical theory and vocal techniques I have learned, I have the will to change and diversify classical singing styles, reaching a new audience. In that effort, I want my audience to gradually shape Hien Nguyen Soprano as a portrait of a female performer with personality, passion and a focus on semi-classical style, contributing to the overall development of music. classical in Vietnam".

With the theme "La Passione" including a collection of world classic songs and Vietnamese lyricism, Hien Nguyen Soprano will try singing live for the first time with her respected teacher - international pianist/ Professor Gianni Kriscak. Hien Nguyen Soprano shared, "It is both a great honor, but also a challenge in my performing career."

La Passione Concert consists of two chapters: "Classical" introduces timeless operas with the elegant sound of the teacher - Professor Gianni Kriscak and "Semi-classical" is fresh and accessible to the mass audience. , Hien Nguyen Soprano has shown her poise in classical vocal performance and her burning passion for academic music, singing under the theater lights.

The highlight in La Passione, in addition to the shine, grace and sublimation of Hien Nguyen Soprano after many efforts in making products and diverse semi-classical styles, is the artist's passion for music. Once again performing two classic love songs, Caruso and Je T'aime, Hien Nguyen Soprano truly conquered the auditorium.

The concert night changed many colors with the participation of bass-baritone Quoc Dat - the voice that just won first prize in the 2023 chamber competition. Many thoughts when losing a lover with "Triítezza" (Sadness) again both earnestly with “Ah! Per sempre io ti perdei” (V.Bellini), suddenly the prince transformed into a servant to conquer Cinderella with “Come un'ape ne giorni” (G. Rossini).

Since returning to domestic artistic activities, possessing an inspiring soprano voice, Hien Nguyen Soprano has shown her focus in exploiting her strengths through diligence and investment in creating products with classic characteristics. interfering.

She enthusiastically participated with two music videos with a strong Western flavor in terms of images and stories: Lavie En Rose (2019) and Thank God It's Friday (2020); popularizing opera through the bilingual album "Love & Dreams"; Classical singing in jazz style through Concert "Yeu", Live in studio "Rhythm Trip"... and efforts to promote cultural exchange between Vietnam and Italy - the cradle of human culture in general and the opera genre in general private.

Always cherishing to contribute to classical music in Vietnam and become a bridge and representative to introduce Italian cultural heritage to the domestic art-loving public, Hien Nguyen always marks her artistic journey. I consider cultural exchange projects between Vietnam and Italy as a top priority and a mission and responsibility in my artistic motto.

And the UNESCO milestone of recognizing the Art of Italian Opera as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (December 6, 2022) strongly inspired Hien Nguyen to implement the idea of ​​working with teacher Gianni Kriscak. jointly organized a concert and compiled a collection of research books for the industry on the history of Italian Opera and translated it for the domestic academic community and public to access.
