Hien Nguyen Soprano was under pressure when doing a concert with her teacher

Singer Hien Nguyen Soprano was under pressure when she first invited her teacher, Professor Gianni Kriscak, to sing with her in the concert 'La Passione'.

The female singer said that on the March 1 music night at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, she will sing with the piano accompaniment of Professor Gianni Kriscak. This is the first time they have collaborated in a concert, with world classics and some Vietnamese lyrical songs. "It is both a great honor but also a challenge in my performing career," Hien Nguyen said.

Hien Nguyen has more than 15 years of studying and pursuing chamber music. After graduating with honors from the Vocal Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, she was the only student to win two scholarships to study in Italy. After 5 years of studying abroad, instead of accepting an offer to stay and work for the Olimpico Theater in Rome, she returned home to pursue her singing career with the stage name Hien Nguyen Soprano. At first, she worked in the Moc Mien music group and in the last two years she sang solo, going in the direction of Classical Crossover with two MVs La Vie en Rose (2019) and Thank God It's Friday (2020). .

In the eyes of the female singer, the teacher is meticulous, careful and very demanding. She had been taught by him when she studied opera in Italy, so she knew it would take a lot of effort to satisfy him. Not only collaborating in concerts, Hien Nguyen also worked with her teacher to write a research collection History of Italian Opera for academics and opera-loving public in the country.

Instead of populating chamber music like previous products, Hien Nguyen's new concert focuses on showing the beauty of classical chamber music, songs belonging to Italian opera heritage such as Tristezza (Paolo Tosti), Torna a Surriento ( Ernesto De Curtis), Je t'aime (Lara Fabian)... Besides, she also performed a number of Vietnamese songs with the accompaniment of Gianni Kriscak such as: Love Story on the Steppe (Tran Tien), Lying Night Pho Pho (Viet Anh), Spring Palace (Cao Viet Bach) and Winter Lull (Dang Huu Phuc).

In this music night, Hien Nguyen also collaborated with Quoc Dat, a prominent bass baritone in the southern chamber music world.
